A great single estate wine from this superb region of North West Spain. At the bodega, the philosophy is to produce high-quality wines at reasonable prices, but from their own grapes. Catalan Eagle takes its name from the bird that soars above the nature reserve close to the winery ‘Catalan Eagle’ White Garnacha Blanca Viognier, Catalunya organic wine has a delicate floral nose with white stone fruit and grapefruit. Production
Grapes are harvested from a combination of premium vineyard sites, of both old and new vines, planted in terraces at 100-700m above sea level. The fruit (Garnacha, Carinena, Cabernet Sauvignon, along with 10% Merlot and 5% Syrah) is fermented in 1.5t open top fermenters and hand plunged daily. Each parcel is matured separately for 12 months in a combination of both new (70%) and older (30%) French oak barriques.Tasting notes
